Thick Velvet Ropes was a group art show that took place in September 2018 at the historic Emerald Bar in St Petersburg FL. Visitors to the show (over 300) received an illustrated zine by Sara Norine explaining the historical context of the place they were entering.
Large quantities of colored pencils were distributed throughout the space with “coloring pages” illustrated by Sara Norine depicting the walls of the space. Blank paper and wall space was available for work generated by visitors to be displayed and sold immediately.
