Brenda Gregory and I had the pleasure of teaching a well attended Maker’s Space class this semester at LOL Families Homeschool Coop. In this class, students were exposed to many different craft techniques and encouraged to design and create pieces integrating multiple techniques. Hand stitching, metal forming, leather stamping, metal stamping, jewelry finishing, metal painting, paper clay sculpting, resin jewelry, felting (wet and needle), weaving, and other hand craft techniques were included. In this supported studio environment, students created one of a kind pieces or art-to-wear and display.
